Word from the Owner
This is our first ever FlyWays newsletter. First, what is FlyWays? FlyWays is the collection of three of the top dove shooting lodges in Cordoba, Argentina – Los Chanares, Sierra Brava and Posta del Norte. So you are probably reading this newsletter because you have been to one of our lodges. We wanted to thank very much those who come every year and who continually recommend our place to their friends. We hope to continue providing world class dove shooting, incredible food and wine, over-the-top service and luxurious accommodations. Muchas Gracias!!!
In order to inaugurate our new brand, my partner at Sierra Brava JJ Sala and myself will be hitting the road this month. It should be a fun road trip where we can catch up with lots of clients. We are looking forward to drinking beer/wine with clients and enjoying some of the South’s very unhealthy yet tasty food. Beretta Trident Expo in Dallas

Beretta Gallery Dallas: 41 Highland Park Village – Dallas, TX
We will be at the Beretta Gallery in Dallas for the second annual Trident expo.There will be a tent out in front where you can meet JJ and myself (praying for cool weather). Apparently the Gallery is going to be having a sale on certain merchandise and you can get great discounts if you purchase a hunt.

Los Chanares:
We are gearing up for the greatest sunflower season ever! Almost every spot is filled up and I am sure many clients are excited for the unique experience to shoot in the sunflowers. We also want to thank Chase Craven who was an intern at the lodge for 5 months. Any client who visited the lodge commented on how great Chase performed. If you are a recent graduate of college, speak Spanish and like to work hard, email us for a position. We are hiring!

Sierra Brava:
The time has come! Topo’s best-selling cookbook is here! There were pre-orders of over 60 books and we plan on selling as many books as possible before Volume 2! As many of you have been to Cordoba know, Topo is the charismatic, fun host of Sierra Brava. Topo started off cooking for Sierra Brava so his collection of recipes is great for those who want to bring a little Argentina to your kitchens. Posta del Norte:
Posta del Norte: The renovations and improvements at Posta del Norte continue. As many of you know Posta is our newest lodge. Last year we stepped up the quality of the lodging and cuisine. In the past few weeks we have worked on securing some new incredible fields as well as hiring Juan Pajon, one of the most experienced guides in Cordoba. We also had the entire FlyWays management team have an offsite at Posta and gave many ideas for improvement. As many of you know the devil is in the details!
Frequently Asked Question
By far the question we are most asked is when is the best dove hunting in Argentina? With the addition of Posta del Norte the simple answer is ANYTIME! We can now offer quality dove shooting 12 months a year. So the question is not when is the best dove hunting time of year, but what works best for you. Here are some guidelines:
- If you like to get away from the heat up north and enjoy cooler weather, come May-August
- If you like spring time weather, come September-November (my favorite)
- If you like summer weather and shooting in shorts, come December-April
- If you like checking out the sunflowers, come January-March at Los Chanares
- If you like massive concentrations of birds during the harvest season, come March-May (please note drive times are longer)
- If you like shooting in the hills and bigger, stronger birds, come June-August
- If you like shooting in a wide variety of fields, come September-December
- If you like lower prices or specials, come October-December
- If you like to dove hunting COME ANYTIME!
